About the company

A small Colorado company that takes the long view.

Diamond Blazer Outdoors was founded in Cascade in 2011 by Brandon McCarthy. Fourteen years and 620+ projects later, we still answer the phone ourselves and we still finish every job with a written warranty.

Our story

From one truck in Cascade to three crews across the Pikes Peak region.

Brandon McCarthy grew up working summers on his uncle's hardscape crew in southern Ohio. After a decade of building patios and porches in the Midwest, he moved his family to Cascade in 2010 and immediately noticed how few local outfits really understood high-altitude soil, freeze-thaw cycles, and the way a Colorado afternoon storm tests every piece of flashing on a porch.

Diamond Blazer Outdoors started in 2011 with one truck, one apprentice, and a simple promise: fixed pricing, written warranties, and a clean job site every night. The team has grown to three small crews — but the promise hasn't changed.

We are deliberately a regional company. Almost every project we take is within a 35-mile drive of our shop on Pikes Peak Highway, which means our foremen can swing by your property a year, three years, or five years later if anything ever needs attention.

What we stand for

Four values, written down because they matter.

Integrity

Fixed-price quotes. Written warranties. Honest answers when a project isn't a fit for us.

Craftsmanship

We hire slowly, train in-house, and we'd rather lose a job than rush the work.

Reliability

We show up when we say we will. If weather or supply changes that, you hear it from us first.

Local

We live, hire, and shop here. Our crews are W-2 employees, not day labor.

Credentials

Licensed, insured, and accountable.

Colorado contractor

Registered general contractor with the State of Colorado. Documentation available on request.

$2M general liability

Full general liability and workers' compensation coverage on every employee. Certificate sent to your HOA on request.

BBB Accredited (A+)

Better Business Bureau accredited since 2014 with an A+ rating and zero unresolved complaints.

ICPI Certified

Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute certified installers on every hardscape crew.

NALP Member

National Association of Landscape Professionals member in good standing since 2016.

Service area

Cascade, Colorado Springs, and everywhere in between.

We work the Front Range from Woodland Park down to Fountain. If you can see Pikes Peak from your yard, we can probably get to you. Most projects are scheduled inside a 35-mile radius of our shop.
